In Notion, paste it on an empty line and choose Embed.

What does the progress bar widget measure?

This free progress bar widget shows how far along the year is on any Notion page, with the percent and the number of days left. It can also follow this month, this week or today, all four at once, a date range like a semester or a project, or your life in years from your birth date. Pick a slim bar like Notion’s own, a dot for every day of the year, or a ring. Set the colors and font, copy the link, then drop it into Notion as an embed. The numbers move on their own every minute on each viewer’s device, so you never have to touch it again. You don’t need an account, and the bar carries no watermark.

How to add it to Notion

  1. Choose what the bar should track, pick a look and press Copy link.

  2. In Notion, go to the spot where the bar belongs, paste the link and pick Embed from the menu that pops up.

  3. Your bar is on the page and moves forward on its own from now on. To fit your layout, pull the lower edge of the embed up or down, and the dots or ring resize with it.

Questions

Do I have to pay or sign up?

No. The widget costs nothing, asks for no email and puts no logo on your bar. Every look and color on this page is open to anyone.

How exact is the year progress?

It counts from midnight on January 1 to the end of December 31 in the viewer’s own time zone, and leap years like 2028 get 366 days. The percent has one decimal, so it goes up by 0.1 about every nine hours.

How does the life progress bar work?

Choose My life, then enter your birth date and how many years to count (80 unless you change it). The widget shows which year of your life you’re in and what share of those years is behind you. With Dots, every dot stands for one year.

Can I track a semester, a project or a trip?

Yes. Choose My own dates and enter the first and last day. Before the first day the line reads Starts in, on the last day it reads Last day, and after that Done. A title such as Fall semester or Q4 launch tells you which bar is which.

Can I show today, the week, the month and the year together?

Yes, that’s one of the choices under Progress of. Bar stacks four bars, and Ring puts four rings in a row. Four sets of dots would get too small, so with Dots picked you get the bars.

Which day does the week start on?

The one your region uses, so US viewers start on Sunday and most of Europe on Monday. To pin it, open Customize and set Week starts on. It only changes This week.

Do I need to update it?

Never. The widget redraws every minute, and a page that stays open overnight moves on to the new day, month or year by itself.

Will it show in the Notion app on my phone?

Yes. It works in the Notion iPhone app, and the bar, dots or ring scale down to the width of the block.

Can it track my tasks or goals?

This widget measures time, not tasks. For a bar that fills as you tick tasks, a formula inside your Notion database does the job, and our progress bar formula guide writes it for you.

What do you learn about me?

Nothing. The widget sets no cookies, runs no analytics and has no login. Your dates and colors sit in the link you paste, and we don’t save them anywhere.
