Free plan limits that can affect a template

| One chart | If a template has two charts, you see one of them. Delete it to see another. |
| Automations you can’t edit | Database automations that come with a template can be used or turned off, but not changed. Buttons still work. |
| A few button actions | Buttons that send Gmail, Slack messages or webhooks need a paid plan. Most templates don’t use them. |
| 5 MB per file | Photos and most PDFs are fine. Large videos and big PDFs won’t upload. |
| 10 guests | You can share a template with up to 10 people as guests. |
| 7 days of page history | You can bring back older versions of a page from the last 7 days. |
| 1,000 blocks once you add members | A free workspace with two or more members holds 1,000 blocks in total. Invite people as guests to keep it unlimited. |
| No dashboard views | Dashboard views are for Business and Enterprise plans. Check a template’s page if it mentions them. |
| A trial of Notion AI | You get a limited number of AI responses. Templates don’t need AI to work. |
How to check a template before you buy
- Look for a free plan line on the listing or the seller’s page.
- Count the charts. With more than one, you’ll see one at a time on the free plan.
- Look for automations in the description. Buttons are fine; database automations can’t be edited.
- Ask the seller if you’re not sure. It’s a fair question before you pay.

All 50 of ours work on Notion’s free plan. Where a free plan limit touches one, its page says so. The Google Ads Tracker has one chart, and its weekly table shows the same numbers. In the Crochet Tracker, pattern PDFs can be up to 5 MB each.
